Sometimes the world at large needs a big nudge to be able to understand what's been more or less evident all along. I'm wondering if that "nudge" may have come about by the response to this awful virus spreading throughout the world. Here is some information from NASA that came from youngest son, Jamie this morning. This shows what could be the norm, if countries and governments took global warming warnings seriously. It might be worthwhile to use this pandemic to figure out how nations could regulate pollution levels better in the future. It could be a wake-up to what could be possible.

Meanwhile, back at Joe's Pond - the weather is beautiful today, but the temperature is cold and there is a mean wind, kind of out of the northeast as near as I can tell. I was out for a few minutes just to get a little exercise after being on a long phone call (book business). I came in really cold. The wind seemed to cut right through my winter jacket. We are suspending meetings on the history book for the time being and using emails and phone conversations to continue moving ahead. Although we are a small group, we prefer to be smart about this thing and not take unnecessary chances.

Everything seems to be moving at a much slower pace - less traffic going by our house recently, with schools closed and some businesses having workers work from home. Be sensible and stay safe. Check on vulnerable neighbors to be sure they have necessities, and do what you can safely to help. We're all in this together and need to help each other.

Spring Mix!

I started this a couple days ago but got kind of busy and never got back to it. I had posted about the Route 2 construction, but that notice...
