Once again, I have not much to report. We wouldn't have been surprised if the clock had stopped during the night, but the temperature dropped back to a little below freezing. The pallet is still sitting on the ice - the clock is still ticking. Fred got lots of pictures, and once again I've made a slide show - but even that is pretty much same-old, same-old, so we'll excuse you if you choose to skip it this morning.
This picture shows that the pallet and flag seem to be moving towards the Barre Avenue shore. There's plenty of open water there now, so the ice could break up and let the pallet down, or the ice may move far enough to disconnect the clock. However, right now we are getting a little snow shower and there is no wind - at least up here on the hill where we are. There may be some wind on the pond, but not enough to move the ice much, probably. The temperature here is 35 degrees, but would be lower on the ice, so there isn't much melting going on, and not much movement, either.
We'll keep track of the pallet throughout the day and I'll report if there's a change.
