The article about global warming done by Matt Sutkowski for the Burlington Free Press is in today's paper. It's headlined "Epic March heat shifts global warming discussion," with photos by Glenn Russell.

This is a picture of Glenn and Matt the day we did the interview. We met first at Hastings store and then took them to Homer's to see the pallet and clock setup. Matt had told us his article was about global warming, and that he wanted to get our take on the subject since we had kept records over the years.

Like most people, we didn't have a definite opinion on the subject, but our Joe's Pond Ice-Out records do show a trend. I have records kept by my father going back to 1968, and during that period the pond was clear of ice 10 times in April and 10 times in May. From 1988 to 2011, it went out 17 times in April and only 7 times in May - and I think we it is safe to say it will go out in April this year.

On a less serious note, Joe's Ponder Karen Gruggel Cobb (Narrows Drive) sent a really cute Easter Greeting this morning. Take a look.
