Today was a pretty nice day, considering we're into December. It has been in the high 30's or low 40's, and was nice to be outside, especially when the sun was out.
We took a short walk down W. Shore Road and the view of the White Mountains was very nice - see right.

Before I forget, there have been some break ins again here at the pond. If at all possible, do have someone check your property periodically to be sure everything is secure. It's very sad that this is happening, but it's becoming more commonplace almost everywhere, and we need to take extra precautions to protect our property. This time it was the Andersons, on Route 2. We haven't heard if there was a lot of damage, or what was taken.

Bill and Diane Rossi came to visit yesterday in Bill's new car. Pretty snazzy! He had some difficulty getting out of their dirveway during the last snow storm, so figured it might be time to switch to an all-wheel drive. We haven't come to that yet, but it isn't because we haven't thought about it. Since we really don't need to be out in bad weather much these days, and with gas prices what they are and going higher, I've resisted any temptation to go trade for all-wheel or 4-wheel drives. We used to have a Ford Bronco, and before that a Chevvy Blazer that we used to plow with, but we've found the front-wheel drive cars work pretty well for us most of the time. Of course, there have been days when we wished we had a more secure ride, but now if we absolutely need to go anywhere on a day like that, we'll call Bill and go in his Honda.

Aren't these guys handsome? They were hanging out in front of Dolly LaGue's when we went by today.
