I heard from Judy Anderson this morning, and their cottage wasn't actually broken into, but intruders tried. Here's what Judy wrote:

Hi Jane, I just read the blog and wanted to clarify the break-in situation. Jane Larrabee had called the Berwicks to let them know that there had been break-ins along Rt. 2 and maybe they would want to check their place. The Berwick's went to check their place and found that everything was fine there. They checked our place and found that someone had attempted to break in through our basement door. They did do some damage to the locking system but it was easily fixed and extra locks were put into place.

Tom Dente sent me the following which he found online:
Vt. State Police - 5:10 pm Sat Dec 3rd, 2011
At some point during the evening hours around 12/01/11 someone broke into the camp on Joe's Pond. 5 other camps were either broken into or entry was attempted during that same time frame.

Anyone with information should contact the Vermont State Police at 748-3111

We thank Judy for letting us know details. The Chesley cottage is a few cottages west of the Anderson's. It's good the thieves didn't gain access, and proves it pays to keep your place well locked.

I also had this message from Homer Fitts over the weekend:

My browser didn't play well at first, but then I clicked on "Couch Mode" and that worked. Great background music, like Homer said, and fun photography. I went through a lot of the videos and the slides, and will go back to see more when I have time. Right now I have lots of e-mails to answer . . .
