Jane, Butch Bouchard here. Thanks to a post on the blog this week, I was able to locate my Sunfish mast that had been retrieved by Andy Rudin. A sailboat without a mast is nothing more than a float. Thanks Andy.
I also found an an adult size blue and red life vest with "Port of Marblehead" on it. If the owner is looking for it, it is on our front porch railing at 140 Sandy Beach Road.
And last but not least, I want to thank Jack and Sean LaGue who were extremely helpful in the rescue of our two wayward JetSkis. After some minor repairs, they'll be ready for 2012. Butch
In case you were wondering about the buoy on Sunken Island - it will go back out as soon as Jamie can locate the right spot for it. As well as he knows the pond, he has tried, unsuccessfully, nearly every day but the water is so dirty visibility is only about a foot and he hasn't found the mark for it yet. So until he can get it out there in the proper spot, do be careful.
