Otto likes to go in the boat! We put the 15hp in on Saturday and looked with that too. The boat didn't make any difference finding bottom... but we had fun looking.
Bill Rossi suggested Jamie should get the coordinates of the island and then he can find it whenever with a GPS. I'll pass that suggestion on . . . plus, he may have to rethink the lengths of chain used on the buoys. It appears high water is going to be more the rule instead of exception as the severity of storms increases and the position of the Public Service Board and Water Resources in Montpelier remains steadfast.
We're getting more rain today, as expected. I talked recently with Ginger Erdmann who "inherited" that huge slice of wetlands in her cove, and she told me they were able to move a fairly large portion of it back where it belongs, but there is still a lot left they couldn't move. We decided that the shoreline is being redefined by nature and until the water level is let down so roots can reestablish, this will continue to happen. It's really sad to see the marsh at the head of the pond disappearing.
