WHEW! We're back up like nothing happened!

Our new name is www.joespondvermont.com

We're sorry you were told you that you were "forbidden" from entering joespond.org a couple days ago. The solution to the problem required that we change our name, but in the overall scheme of things, that's no big deal. We are actually pretty happy to have been able to switch to a not-so-different name that is probably easier to remember, actually, and certainly more inclusive since "vermont" is part of it. We've notified most of our "regular" readers - at least the ones I have in my address book, but if you have friends who may not be included in my fairly extensive collection of e-mail addresses, and who might like to look at the web site and the blog, please let them know about the change.

I have to tell you, the morning Fred met me in the kitchen with "I've got bad news - the web site is down," I was already stretched about to the limit with Fall Foliage Day planning, and from then on the day just got worse. In between trying to confirm, reschedule, reassure and redirect Fall Foliage Day details, I had short "meetings" with Fred as to the best course of action, and we were finally able to resolve the problem by selecting a new url (web site name) and server. Today, Tuesday, I was gone all day for Fall Foliage, and
as I met people during the Fall Foliage tours, I really, really wanted to hand them a web site business card and tell them about Joe's Pond and how they could keep tabs on the Ice Out Contest and other things, but when I'd left early this morning, Fred was still struggling with the best course of action, so I wasn't sure what our web address would be. I gave out quite a few Ice-Out tickets, though.

We hope you approve of the new name, www.joespondvermont.com. We think it kind of says it all. What do you think?
