The following message came from JPA President Joe Hebert this afternoon:
I have just received the report indicating the location of the mifoil found on Joes Pond and have attached the map. The surveyor has placed some orange/reddish bouys in the area. Please do not remove them and most importantly DO NOT operate your watercraft in these areas. That would potentially churn up the existing milfoil causing more spread
Going forward the plan will be to arrange either privately or
perhaps in conjunction with the state to have the offending plants
pulled. As I mentioned in the previous email -- do not attempt to pull them
yourself as this could result in unintentional spread.
Joe Hebert
President JPA
