More on ANR Decision on Wake Boats

Attached is the memo the DEC sent to Julie Moore, Secretary of the ANR.  You can see on the very first page that the DEC recommended 600', which would have prohibited wake boats on Joe's Pond.  The ANR, however, is proposing a rule of only 500', which will permit wake boats on our pond.  

You've done a great job keeping Joe's Ponders informed about this issue.  I thought they'd be interested in seeing how the ANR rejected the sound logic and science cited by the DEC for 600' and for no articulated reason went back to 500'.  It really is unexplainable and cannot be justified.  The LCAR needs to hear this loud and clear from all the Joe's Ponders who voted for stricter limits.
