Old North Church Service

There will be an Advent Lamplight Service at the Old North Church this Sunday night at 6 PM with the Christmas readings and carols. We haven’t done this in years, but we hope the weather is not too bad to keep folks away. Just please dress warmly; they will try to warm the church some, but it’s certainly not the time to be fashionable!! 

If you aren't familiar with the Old North Church, it is a lovely, unique old building built in 1832 that has no electricity and is heated with a big old wood stove, as I recall. It has been meticulously kept close to its original state of simplicity, so for evening services it is wise to bring along flashlights to read by and to help you navigate the steps and dark parking area. Attending the service there is a wonderful way to celebrate the season.
