Book Update

 Here is the latest announcement on our West Danville History book from the Danville Historical Society:


We could not be happier to announce that the much anticipated and long-awaited book,
West Danville, Vermont Then and Now, 1781 – 2021, will be available for purchase by the end of this week, just in time for everyone on your Christmas list!

Through the extraordinary efforts of everyone involved in the final process, especially Leahy Press in Montpelier and Optimum Bindery in Nashua, NH, books are set to arrive today, Thursday.

Books will be available for purchase between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. in the basement of the Danville Congregational Church, beside the Choate Sias house on Hill Street in Danville, on Friday, December 10 and Saturday, December 11. Masks are required inside the building.

Books will also be available at the Danville Historical Society during regular hours, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 am – 5 pm, Hastings Store in West Danville, The Joe’s Pond Craft Shop, and the Corner Stop Inn Shop in Walden. The cost is $45. Payment by cash or check, please.

We want to thank everyone who pre-ordered books through our book@danvillevthistorical.org website. Pre-orders may be picked up during the designated times at any of the above locations. Orders requiring shipping must be pre-paid, including postage and handling costs determined according to the number of copies requested. Payment may be sent by check or money-order to the Danville Historical Society, 121 Hill St, P. O. Box 274, Danville, VT 05828. (See mailing costs below.)

Mailing costs for one book is $7.00; two books, $14.00; three or more will depend on distance, so you will need to contact the Historical Society (book@danvillevthistorical.org) or call them at 802-684-2055, to determine the exact amount. Your book(s) will be shipped as soon as payment is received.
