More Snow - and How Sweet It Is - With Maple Sugar on it!

I measured another 2.5 inches of fairy-dust snow this morning at 9 o'clock; since then we've had another inch, perhaps - but also enough wind to dust most of it off the trees and blow it down West Shore Road towards Barre Avenue. Or to Danville and beyond. Who knows. But there is always a silver lining, and that came in an email this morning from Hazel Greaves over at Tootsie's, just past Walden Heights on Route 15. That's the little store that Butch and Hazel Greaves have and where the Ice Cream Stand is. This is something we can all appreciate - Sugar on Snow!!!

I'm pretty sure any of you who are up for it could follow the rail-trail, either on foot or by snowmobile, almost to the exact spot. Tootsie's is in a field just beyond where the trail crosses Route 215 going towards Hardwick. Seems like it would be a great stop-off spot!

Don't forget the Valentine's Day raffle to benefit Pope Library in Danville - you will find details on the poster I published here a couple days ago! Enjoy!
