The block and flag are on the ice! As you can see, we have plenty of ice on the pond, so even with the lovely spring weather we're having right now, it's going to be weeks before there is blue water showing out there. We'll keep you posted - the last day to purchase tickets is still April 1st, so don't wait too long! Tickets are available at all the usual outlets and at www.joespondvermont.com.
You can print out as many tickets as you want and send them with $1 for each to: JPA, PO Box 111, West Danville, Vermont 05647, or you can purchase tickets on line, ten tickets per transaction, still only $1 each. But you have to have everything in by midnight, April 1, when the contest officially closes. Then we wait for the ice to melt and the flag to disappear. Last year's winner got nearly $5,000 - and this year you could be that lucky. Check the website for information about contests over the years, current conditions and updates.
