We're in for another frosty night, I think. Today was absolutely beautiful - hardly a cloud in the sky. It was a little cool, but perfect weather for the Autumn on the Green (top picture) festivities in Danville, and it appears they had a great crowd. We went to Marty's for gas and were amazed at the amount of traffic on Route 2. (Right.) I don't think it had a lot to do with the Autumn on the Green, although there was no doubt some of the traffic due to that. I think it was mostly tourist traffic. There seemed to be a lot of people still on the Green when we were there around 3 o'clock. Tomorrow is the start of Fall Foliage Week, and is Walden's day to entertain the visitors. Before we went home, we scooted over to East Cabot to get a picture of the road construction (third from top). Nobody was working, of course, so we were able to see more of what has been done and where they are going with the widening, etc. And the farm by Molly's Pond is always a great picture. Today the pond was a deep blue and it was a perfect scene - except that the foliage is so dull. Sorry, but you can see it isn't showing off the usual vivid colors at all. Perhaps with another frosty night, things will change. The last picture is the landscape just south of the farm, almost to the Goodrich farm. (Click on the images to make them larger.)
