Some of you may have missed the article in the Caledonian Record about Alyssa Dolgin of St. Johnsbury competing in World Cup Snowboarding events. Lots of Joe's Pond folks know Alyssa's father, Steve Dolgin, who has Dolgin's Docks. Steve has been a skier, both snow and water, practically all his life, so it's no surprise he had his daughter on skis at an early age. He told me Alyssa is in Austria now, preparing for the meets. He admitted he's pretty nervous about her competing. It's a great opportunity for her and her parents, Steve and Deb, will be on hand to cheer her on during the competitions. We're excited for her and will be anxious to follow her as she competes in Austria from December 11 through the 13th.
