If you don't already have your tickets for the All You Can Eat Ribs Dinner on July 13, better stop by Hastings or get in touch with Wendy Larrabee - 684-2247 - to be sure you aren't disappointed. The dinner is at 6 p.m., but Social Hour (cocktails!) is at 5 o'clock. As always, you should bring your own beverage, and an appetizer to share would be nice.
We'll hope the weather will be nicer by the 13th and we can celebrate that; but if not, the pavilion is always pleasant and dry, so if it's still rainy and wet, who cares? Everyone always has a good time.
Nobody has come forward to either do a pig roast or some other kind of dinner to replace it, and that is sad. Surely some of you can get together and come up with a fun idea for a new gathering - something you enjoy doing with friends, perhaps, or something you're particularly good at; or if you know someone who could organize something to take the place of the pig roast, get them to work with you. Years ago JPA members used to enjoy clam bakes, corn roasts or picnics. We know everyone is busy and summer is vacation time, but we're still hoping someone will come up with something fun to do on August 17. Let us know!
