We have sunshine!  It's beautiful outside, the snow and frost on all the trees is sparkling in the sunshine - melting away within minutes of the sun hitting.  We had a low of 23.2 last night, and now, at 7:30, it's 26, so we're gradually warming up.  In the sunshine, it's much warmer and we've been promised a really nice day.

We are saddened to learn that Margaret Fitts' sister, Victoire "Vicky" Couture passed away this past week.  I've posted a link to her obituary.

I received the following from Ray Rouleau this morning in response to my question of whether folks are able to view the slide shows I post on the blog and Fred posts sometimes on home page.  Here's what Ray wrote:
Hi Jane-----I use an I-Pad and your slide show came up nice and clear of your awful weather! Cyndy and I will stay nice and warm in sunny Florida for 2 more weeks. May normally is a fun month in our lovely state of Vermont.

I'm glad to know they play well on Ray's I-Pad.  We contacted the folks at Kizoa where I do the slide shows now, and they explained that you need to have FlashPlayer.  This is their suggestion:

Thank you for your email.

1. Please make sure that you have the latest version of FlashPlayer on your computer, you can do so by going to  <http://www.adobe.com> www.adobe.com .

2. We would like to recommend that you try emptying your cache and also try using a different internet browser such as Google Chrome or Firefox.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions.

Best regards,  The Kizoa Team

We will be searching for another slide maker that perhaps would work for people with older computers.

We had Bill, Monika and family come for dinner last night.  Tangeni immediately associated us with Woody.  When she came in the door, she greeted us with "Grandma M'ow!" and then as soon as she saw Fred, "Grandpa M'ow!"  However, her enthusiasm for us disappeared immediately as soon as she saw Woody.  He was actually coming into the kitchen to see her, I think.  He has become her best pal, and they were inseparable most of the evening.  I got out a "kiddiecar" my father had made for my kids when they were little.  It is a replica of one I had when I was a toddler.  Tangeni didn't quite get the hang of it, but I'm sure she will in time.  She was far more interested in "M'ow."
