Fred Pogmore of Wildlife Services sent the following links this morning.  As I mentioned yesterday, I had spoken with him yesterday and he outlined what courses we can take to protect our property and the lake from Canada geese.  These links give more complete information which perhaps we can use.  Bird Control.

If anyone wishes to investigate more aggressive methods of controlling the birds, here is a site for the Permitting Process.  Land owners or our JPA Association can apply, depending on where on the pond the birds are nesting or causing damage.


We will be discussing this issue at the Annual Meeting on Saturday.  Please plan to be there or send us your thoughts if you are unable to attend.  I'm sure nearly everyone who lives on the pond or comes here to swim and enjoy it's waters, is or will be impacted by the increasing number of geese (and perhaps also ducks) we are experiencing.  We hope to come up with some solutions.
