If you are looking for a very nice propane heater for your cottage or home, this HearthStone may be right for you.  We used it as backup heat in our basement, but actually used it very little.  We had it serviced regularly, and it's in perfect condition. It has a thermostat, and can be operated manually, which was handy in case the electricity was off.  It is navy blue enamel with gray soapstone top and sides.  The fire logs are very realistic, and the big glass door allows plenty of viewing space. The stove pipe and the direct vent outside attachment is all with it, so it's ready to install.  It would be perfect in any room that needs heat, or if you don't want the mess of a wood fire or don't have space for a big fireplace, this is perfect.  This is a much nicer stove than we really needed for what we were using it for, and I always felt a little guilty that it was in the basement where it was seldom seen.  It needs a home where it will be used and appreciated.

As some of you know, we now have a new heating system and since we've always heated with wood upstairs, it made sense to replace the propane gas stove with one that burns wood as backup downstairs.  We've been concentrating on getting the new heating system going, and other spring stuff, so haven't advertised the HearthStone since first putting it on the blog (March 31, 2012), but now I really want to get it out of the basement so I can put things back in order.   Contact us at 802-563-2381 if you're interested.  Fred has all the specs and details.
