PEACHAM ROAD CLOSURE CANCELLED

The plan to close Peacham Road today between the Post Office and Route 2 has been cancelled. This work will occur on a later date.

Peacham Road will remain open today.


Work Update

Danville Route 2 Project

Pike Industries will continue work on the Danville Route 2 project as follows:

NIGHT WORK: In an effort to complete the drainage work before cold weather arrives, starting Sunday night, September 11th, crews will work on installing drainage on Route 2 from Highland Ave to the Village Green. Work hours will be from 6:30 pm to 5:30 am, Sunday through Thursday nights for the next four weeks.

Motorists can expect alternating one-way traffic within the work zone. Traffic control will be present to maintain traffic flow.

Residents living along Route 2 within the construction zone can expect to hear equipment and generators running, equipment back up alarms and trucks. Light towers will be placed along the construction zone and at each flag person.

SATURDAYS: For the month of September, crews will extend their work week to include Saturdays. Saturday work hours are tentatively set for 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. Crews will focus on drilling rock on Route 2 between the Town Offices to Walden Hill.

Day Work

PEACHAM CLOSURE – Peacham Road will be closed from the Post Office to Route 2 MONDAY from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Rock drilling will take place on Route 2 from the Town Hall east to Walden Hill Road throughout the week, including Saturday, September 17th. Crews will also be drilling on Park Street near the Library.

Water line service work will take place on Route 2 between Marty’s and the Village Green.

Motorists can expect traffic delays from the alternating one-way traffic around the construction zone. Traffic control will be present to maintain traffic flow. Motorists are encouraged to plan accordingly for delays.
