Work Update

Danville Route 2 Project

Project: Danville FEGC 028-3(32)

Week of June 13th, 2011

Pike Industries will be performing the following work on the Danville Route 2 project as follows:

Building of the new sediment pond across from Marty’s Store will continue. This work will have minimal impact, if any, on traffic flow.

Waterline work will continue between Marty’s Store and Smith Street in the westbound lane of Route 2. The work will remain centered in this area for most of the week and will require lane closures. Although crews are not planning for them, minimal water interruptions may be experienced in this work area throughout the week.

Water Interruptions: Residences and businesses along Route 2 from Park Street west to the project limits will experience water interruptions while crews hook up temporary water services in preparation for blasting. Flyers will be distributed in advance to those who will be affected to give notice of when they can expect interruptions.

All work this week will start at 8 am each day.

Traffic delays can be expected in and around the project for the entire week. Traffic control will be present to maintain traffic flow at all times. Motorists are encouraged to plan accordingly.
