I'VE JUST HAD A CALL FROM CABOT COALITION. THERE WERE MORE WASHOUTS IN CABOT LAST NIGHT AND RAIN IS EXPECTED AGAIN THIS WEEKEND. THEY ARE ASKING FOR VOLUNTEERS TO HELP FILL SAND BAGS. IF YOU OR ANYONE YOU KNOW IS WILLING TO HELP, PLEASE GO TO THE TOWN GARAGE AT THE HEAD OF MAIN STREET WHERE THERE IS A SUPPLY OF SAND AND BAGS WAITING TO BE FILLED. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHEN YOU GO, AND EVEN IF YOU CAN ONLY WORK A LITTLE WHILE, IT WILL BE A HUGE HELP. THERE ARE SOME SHOVELS, BUT BRING YOUR OWN IF YOU POSSIBLY CAN. YOUR HELP WILL BE MUCH APPRECIATED AND IF THE RAIN IS HEAVY AS EXPECTED, THE BAGS YOU FILL MAY PREVENT MORE DAMAGE TO ROADS AND PROPERTY.
