I wrote recently about the article in the Caledonian Record about band music at the public beach in West Danville. Yesterday I was at the post office and spoke with Garey Larrabee. The paper stated that Garey was "one of the chief protesters." Garey told me that isn't the case. He said he was simply relaying a complaint from an elderly neighbor who lives near the beach, and asked Ms. Kelleher if she could do something about the noise level.
We're sure there will be some logical solution so everyone can enjoy the rest of our summer at Joe's Pond without stress. One thing is sure, all too soon snow flakes will be whipping across the public beach and the only music will be the wind whistling through the deserted pavilion.
