Here is a link to a you-tube thing that's been around for a while, but perhaps some of you haven't seen it: Third Graders' SongThis is another interesting piece that someone sent to me over the weekend. As you know, I normally don't post "forwards" but I do sometimes check out things that seem interesting to see if they are truthful. This one is, and it's good to know:Fridays at the Pentagon*****

All programs are free and open to the public.
Making Better Photographs Series
What's the difference between taking a picture, and making a photograph? Taking a picture sounds as if it were simply laying on the ground and someone came along and picked it up, while making a photograph is a creative process.
Warren Walker, a local nature photographer, will be teaching a series of programs to help people make better photographs. They will include an introduction to composition, a field trip, and a review of photographs. While Mr. Walker is a digital photographer, most of the information provided will work equally well with film photography.
The first program will be held at the the Cabot Public Library on Tuesday, May 4 from 7-9 PM. It will include an introduction to composition for photography. There are several simple ideas which can affect a viewer's response to a photo. There will also be some information on digital photo editing.
The second program will meet at the Cabot Plains Cemetery where there should be opportunities to photograph everything from wildflowers to landscapes. Mr. Walker will present ideas and techniques for outdoor photography. If possible, bring a tripod. It will be held on Saturday, May 8 from 4-7 PM. If it looks like there will be an interesting sunset, the session can be extended. Sunset will be around 7:30. The rain date will be May 15.
The third program will be a review of photographs from the field trip. It will be held at the library on Tuesday, May 25 from 7-9 PM.*****
