Well, Joe's Ponders, the newsletter should be in the mail perhaps by Thursday. Bill Rossi is going to pick it up from the printer, Leahy Press, in Montpelier tomorrow. It was a pleasant surprise to get the call this afternoon that it was ready. I only gave it to them yesterday and thought it would be the end of the week before it was ready.

Fred and Bill went to Danville today. Fred thought they might stop by the new bakery, Bentley's Bakery & Cafe. He planned to bring home something delicious for dessert tonight, but they aren't open Monday or Tuesday. That was a disappointment, but from there they made some other interesting stops, so the trip wasn't totally wasted.

They stopped by the work site at the Smith cottage on N. Shore Road.
That's coming along well, but since the carpenters didn't need any help from a couple old retired guys, they didn't stay long. I liked this picture they took along the way, though. Nice to see blue water.

Cabot is rewriting their Town Plan. They've hired a consultant, Irene Nagle, to coordinate. She's had experience with this sort of thing and it is a big job. Bonnie Dannenberg and I will be meeting with her and our town clerk, Tara Rogerson in a couple weeks to provide some history and identify photos of some of Cabot's historic buildings. Today I went to the Cabot web site and read the existing plan. If you'd like to read it, go to: Town Master Plan, Cabot

The plan, from 2003, is in serious need of revision. In seven years, a lot has changed. Of course, there's a lot that hasn't changed, too. If anyone has input for the new town plan, there will doubtless be meetings later for public input. In the meantime, I'll try to keep you updated.
