We've been busy here today! I was surprised when Leahy Press called yesterday to say our newsletters were ready. Bill Rossi was kind enough to pick them up this morning and Fred and I spent the afternoon folding and inserting the dues remittance envelopes. There are about 300 JPA members, so it takes some time to get everything done and the mailing labels on. Members will be receiving their copies soon - we'll take them to W. Danville to the post office tomorrow morning.

We have a short list of members who asked to receive the newsletter electronically, so they had theirs before anyone else. We still have a large number of members who aren't on line, or who prefer to have a paper copy to look at, and that's fine.

Fred put the newsletter on the web site this morning, so anyone can see it (in color)! The paper version is black & white. It's a fairly large file, so it may take a few moments to load.

Ray "Pecky" Rouleau touched base with me today about the JPA signs. Evelyn (Richer) has renewed the paintings on three of the signs and both Pecky and I got a sneak peek at them via e-mail. VERY nice. Evelyn does super great work. It's still a bit early to get the signs up, but with the nice weather we've been having, it may be we'll have them set earlier than usual. No harm in starting the season a bit early.

We have a new B&B on the web site, the "Pie in the Sky B&B" in Marshfield. Here's a link:

It looks really nice, and not far from Joe's Pond! Here's what Ms. Sargent wrote:

We are a 11 year running B & B 12 - 15 minutes south of Joe's Pond in Marshfield.
We ourselves patronize a number of the business's on your lists.

We have had people stay here who are on their way into a longer rental at Joe's so I know it works for Joe's Pond's fans. We are Pie in the Sky Farm B &B

Thanks so much,

We are happy to include Pie in the Sky Farm on our "Places to Stay" page.

By the way, those daffodils at the top of this page were from some previous year in my garden. I don't have many blooms yet, but I do have some that look as if they will be bursting forth soon. I just couldn't wait for a real touch of spring. I've been thinking about getting into the woods to search for Mayflowers, but haven't had the time just yet. They must be out . . .

Another Adventure

This week turned out to be a doozie for me. I had anticipated going for a follow-up on my knee on Monday, but instead ended up in the ER at ...
