Here is an important notice for residents of the Town of Cabot, Vermont:

The Cabot Planning Commission is seeking at least one new member to serve for a two-year period. Currently, the Planning Commission is working on revisions to the Town Plan, which will serve in part to guide the town in envisioning a desired future and charting a course toward that desired future.

In the Town Plan, we address numerous issues, including town facilities, economic development, transportation, housing, natural resources and land use and zoning policy. The Town Plan will then serve as the basis for developing revisions to Cabot's zoning regulations - the next major task of the Commission. The Planning Commission will be undertaking a major re-writing and revision to zoning regulations. As both of these documents are very important to Cabot's future and the residents of our community, we are seeking the broadest representation possible on the Planning Commision. If you have an interest serving as a Commission member, please contact Gary Gulka at 563-2284 or gulka@fairpoint.net

The Planning Commission will be seeking public involvement from all Cabot residents in the coming year, as we work on the Town Plan. We will do our best to keep you informed.

Gary Gulka
Cabot Planning Commission Chair
