Looks like we got a couple inches of new snow overnight. I haven't been out to measure it yet, but will do that just before 9 a.m. Fred brushed out the driveway with the snowblower, but said there wasn't much and it's light and fluffy. It was quite cold last night, in the teens, and when I looked down to the pond, there is a skimming of snow-covered ice in back of the islands, closing in most of what was open yesterday. I'll try to get more pictures later to show how far down the pond there is ice.

We'll be getting more snow in the next couple of days, so I think we can safely say it's going to be a white Christmas and winter is finally here.

9:00 a.m. Still snowing; I measured 1.8" new snow, 4" at the stake.
