We walked down to the shore again today to see what the rain last night did to the water level. It was up about 1 1/2 in. - 3 in. below the top of Walter's sea wall, in the same spot we measured yesterday. For now the rain seems to have stopped, but as we came up W. Shore Road, the water was rushing off the hillside in all the little brooks that dump into the pond. Here's a picture we took from Walter's lawn. It was about 41 degrees when we got home, and not much wind. Not bad, but not much sunshine.

In today's Caledonian Record there is a supplement prepared by the State of Vermont's treasurer, Jeb Spaulding, listing names of people who have unclaimed bank accounts, unchashed paychecks, money orders or service deposits or unclaimed insurance policies, safe deposit box contents or stocks, bonds or dividends. Only properties with a value of at least $75 are listed. Each year a similar list is published. To view the complete list and find out how to claim any holdings if your name is listed, go to: www.missingmoney.vermont.gov
