We're white again! And it's still snowing. We didn't get much, but enough to make everything look fresh and wintery again - most of it isn't sticking now because the temperature in about 34 degrees - so by the end of the day we could be back to lots of bare ground again. I took some pictures this morning to compare with the ones I posted yesterday. It's a little discouraging, but not unusual, and we know April showers will take over before long when things begin to warm up more. I'm sure there are lots of areas, maybe even St. Johnsbury, where this is rain.

I guess lots of you know that "The Guiding Light" soap is going off the air. Some of you know that Beth Chamberlin, who grew up in Danville, has had a role in that. I thought you might like to see what else she's been doing.
About Beth
I'm a "Young and the Restless" fan, so I haven't really followed Beth's career, but I knew her parents years ago when I lived in Danville for a short time.

Speaking of Danville, there was an item in yesterday's Caledonian Record about the Rt. 2 project that has been on-going forever. The actual work was supposed to begin in 2003, but there have been delays and problems, loss of funding, and changes to the plan until now, at last, word is that right of way studies have been completed and appraisals are in process so the next step will be to start making offers to the 50 or so property owners who will be involved. Ken Mason is right of way agent for the state. Project manager Ken Robie said by April or May of 2010, everything should be in place and construction could begin. I know what some of you would be saying if I'd written this on April 1st, but it does seem as if it may actually happen, IF all 50 landowners are agreeable. Stay tuned for another year.
