President Tom Dente sent the following this evening. I have posted it on the Comments page found on our home page, www.joespondvermont.com, and you can respond there or directly to me. If you are concerned about your lakeside property, ask a neighbor here to check on it for you, or contact someone from our Services page. I haven't heard of any problems yet, and I'll try to find out more and keep you posted. Here's what Tom wrote:
I have been in contact with GMP over the past several days regarding the snow melt and the subsequent flow into Joes Pond. The dam is releasing its maximum designed flow. Green Mountain Power has had workers at the dam and various spots around the lake for the past week checking on water levels and the run off to the pond to minimize any flooding potential. In short all that can be done is being done. Let us know if members spot problems.
Thanks
Tom
