If you're wondering how we spend time during one of these snow storms, here's a little example.

Diane Rossi took this picture of the Noyes family out cross country skiing this afternoon. She said they had been up behind the islands looking for moose tracks but didn't find any. I guess the moose aren't moving about much in all this snow. Thanks for the picture, Diane.

At about the same time, Fred and I were out on our snowshoes. We had to search for a spot to get out of the hole that our yard has become. There are high banks all around, and it's very difficult to get over them into the fields and woods. I finally made it - lost a mitten while trying to get my snowshoes on, but finally Fred found it for me and we got going. I had to take my jacket off very soon, we were going up hill in deep fluffy snow, and it was a good workout. We came out of the woods at Jamie and Marie's house where Fred got down in the snow to take a picture of their house. It was a nice afternoon to be out. Of course, we both took pictures, taking turns breaking trail and taking pictures. When we got back, Fred let Woody out onto the front deck. I was just coming in, and he couldn't wait to get back inside with me. Smart cat. Here's a slide show of our snowshoe trek, if you're interested.
