All we need is a little encouragement! This came from Walter Ruf today:

Hi,we are sure enjoing your blogs and also the great pictures you send out to some of us who are in sunny Florida.To tell you what is going on down here it is in the 70's in day time and our pool with solar heat at 75 to 80 degrees. "It ain't too bad," like they say in Vermont! But it is very nice to get some pictures with snow from my home for most of my life. Best regards to you both, Mimi & Walter.

So, for Walter & Mimi, and all the rest of you who aren't here to enjoy our beautiful early winter weather - I'm posting a batch of pictures we took today. That's me after I've picked up the JPA mail at the post office this afternoon - two more requests for Ice-Out tickets!

I've sent out 110 this week and had requests for 25 more in those envelopes I'm hanging onto in that picture.

Burke Mountain opens this weekend - looks ready to me! Do you remember Deb Stresing told us she had to shovel her way into her Joe's Pond Craft Shop? This picture says it all.


One thing we're sure of so far this fall/winter -- there's lots of weather so that gives us plenty to talk about. Stay warm!
