WANTED TO RENT, SUMMER 2008
Jean McClure called this morning to ask if I knew of either a house or an apartment that might be available next summer in the Danville-West Danville area. She and her husband, Joe, have been coming to this area for nine years and know many people here, so they can provide good references. Jean said the place they have rented for several summers will not be available next year. They are looking for a place for four or five months, from about the last week in May to mid-October; but she said they are flexible. They are retired and need only a small place for the two of them - they have no pets and they are non-smokers. Their daughter lives in this area and they enjoy being near her and also the friends they've made over the years. She said they have grown to really love the area and want to be able to come back next summer. Perhaps you know someone who will be traveling in the summer and would like them to "house-sit" - or of course there are those folks who come to Vermont to ski in the winter and have other activities during the summer.
I know what helpful, generous folks you are who read this blog and I told Jean I'd let you all know their need and maybe we could find something for them. You can contact them at 802-748-2445 until October 16th when they will leave for their home in Florida. After that, their phone number is 352-347-3461.
I'm also going to put something on our "Lost-Found-For Sale-Wanted" section under "Joe's Pond Association" in case someone thinks of something later and can't find this blog entry.
