JPA Spring Meeting, and New Book Release

The spring meeting of JPA was very well attended. The dreadful stormy day we had all anticipated never really happened, although it remained cloudy with an occasional rain shower, it was not a total "washout" as had been forecast. Son, Jamie, took some photos during the meeting - and you can read the minutes on the Joe's Pond website, www.joespondvermont.com.

After the meeting, my friend, Heidi Erdmann (Clubhouse Circle) told me about her
daughter, Heidi's new book, just released. This is a very personal story, and many of us remember how courageous Heidi was and how her family and the community rallied in support of her and her young husband after his diagnosis of ALS. The title is "Whatever the Future Holds."  It is available free on Kindle, or you can purchase a copy on Amazon.com, for $19.95.

Just a little about the author.  Heidi is the daughter of Lee and Ginger (Powell) Erdmann. Her grandparents, Don and Kay Powell bought a cottage on Edgewood Avenue when their three daughters, Beth, Ginger and Patty were young. That cottage is now owned by Heidi's aunt, Patty (Powell) Nichols. After her parents were married, they bought the property on Clubhouse Circle, and Heidi grew up coming to Joe's Pond with her family every summer. She met Curtis Vance, of Danville, during one of those summers. The story is hers to tell, which she does in this book. I haven't read it yet, but I'm certainly going to. Congratulations to Heidi for undertaking and completing what I know must have been a very difficult task, and thank you for sharing your story with us.
