Results of 2021 Caledonia Cup Sunfish Race

 The final race of the season was today. The rain held off and it was a fun day out on the water. 

The results of the final race today are:

Double Division:  

1. Lee Erdmann with Ginger

Single Division:

1. Billy Hamilton
2. Jay Chatot
3. Matt Ward
4. Jack LaGue
5. Jules Chatot
6. Nick Wood

The Caledonian Cup winners for the 2021 season were  Lee Erdmann (see photo left, Lee and Ginger Erdmann) winning the Double Division and Billy Hamilton winning the Single Division.  The Single Division was very close as both Jay Chatot and Billy Hamilton were tied with 28 points for the season.  This was the first time in recent years that the tie breaker rule that the one with the most wins is the ultimate winner. Thanks to everyone who supported the races this year making them a lot of fun. It is great to see colorful boats out on the pond and as we cruised around the pond during the race, we saw many people out on their lawns and decks watching the race. We have some great sailors and really good sports who are enthusiastic about sailing, and plenty of folks on shore cheering them on!
