I'm sitting at my computer and looking out at another bleak day. There was a little sunshine earlier this morning, but now that's gone and we are looking at possibly snow later on this week. I was looking at some old photos yesterday, searching for a photo taken of a moose that wandered up our driveway a few years ago, and while I didn't find those particular photos, I did notice that we had a lot of snow in April some years - and mud!  The top picture was mid-April, 2007. That was a bad mud year! This stretch of West Shore Road past Mason's was bad and only got worse further along past our house.

The middle picture of the very sad daffies was taken on May 28, 2-12. My daffodils are not this far along yet, so whatever snow we get later on won't bother them much. I'd like to thin this will end our snow for this season, but you never know.

I found this shot of the last of the ice on the pond in exactly seven years ago (2013) today. I don't have a temperature, but our temperature today is not bad - 58 at the moment, and no wind.

Pam and Joe Hebert sent out this cute video the other day. This little tyke may grow up to be a politician. I hope the video makes you smile.

Take care of yourselves and others you love, keep your distance from everyone else. Let your face mask be a fashion statement; embrace graying or darkening roots and  unwieldy hair as "trendy"; and figure out how to use those nail clippers and files you've stashed in a drawer someplace because you have been getting your nails done at a salon - cut 'em short, it's more sanitary that way. Think of all the money you're saving by grooming yourself. Not to mention the miles and gas you're saving not going anywhere.
Dress for comfort, your family, if you are fortunate enough to be with them, and your sanity. Having a regular routine is important, according to psychiatrists. They say get out of bed at a regular time, make it, shower, get dressed, eat a decent breakfast and find something to do with your day. At night, have a regular routine for bed time, and stick to it. If you are working at home, be sure you exercise regularly, and keep to a schedule, even though nobody is watching you.

I try - I'm not really "working at home," but then again, I do have work to do and I try to keep a fairly regular schedule going. I do most of the recommended stuff, and have been trying to get in more exercise daily now that the weather is better. Meals are pretty much on schedule, and I have always made my bed as soon as I get up. Another thing that always makes me feel better is to comb my hair, brush my teeth and put on a little "yipstick" - I mostly have better luck staying within the lines than the little one above did, but then, I've had decades of practice. She'll get the hang of it. Stay well.
