Ok, it's that time of year again and I can't resist sharing my favorite Christmas song with you. Click HERE and enjoy! It it doesn't bring a smile to your face, you must be related to the Grinch! In case you didn't see the credits, it's sung by The Drifters, and the cartoon is by Joshua Held.

I found out the Drifters are apparently still singing. They got their start back in 1953 singing backup for the Dominoes. Since then there have been many "Drifters," and they were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, with four members from the first Drifters, two from the second and on from post-Atlantic (early 1970s). I'm not sure how that worked out, but if you look them up on wikipedia.org, you'll see a very long list of past members, along with other facts about them.

Christmas is less than two weeks away, so better get going if you aren't finished shopping or wrapping gifts or sending out Christmas cards - whatever is your thing this time of year. I don't send out cards anymore. I wish my friends Merry Christmas here and send my far-away relatives a Christmas email, just to stay in touch. The immediate family will be celebrating here, but not on Christmas Eve this year, as we  normally do. Work schedules interfered with that, so we'll be doing a Merry Christmas/Happy New Year celebration with dinner at our house on Sunday, the 29th. Who knows, maybe we'll start a new family tradition. I kind of like the idea of our family celebrating the coming New Year and doing Christmas all at the same time.  We'll see how it goes.

Catching Up

As our lovely autumn days begin to turn a bit chill and dreary - the transition from October to November is like that  - I want to share so...
