The link for the Caledonian Record piece with photos did not work for everyone, so I am re-posting with one of Amy Ash Nixon's photos (left) and one that Grampa Fred took when we were in Tangeni's classroom. We had fun, and I think all the grandparents did, too. It's a nice chance to get to see where our grandchildren spend their days when in classes at Waterford School. Not the rows of seats, big blackboards and only one teacher that most grandparents remember. I was particularly impressed with the bookcases filled with books for the youngsters to read. They have a very well-stocked library right in the school room. When I was in school, the bookmobile came around (when the roads were good) and we looked forward to Miss Eleanor Bonnie, who drove the truck, getting out and opening up the big doors so we could select books. We would return them to her on her next trip. We only had a small bookcase with books that belonged in the school. I envy the selection kids have today!
