Here is another comment from Michael Morley - and it sounds like it is really good news! However, I haven't been able to find that anything was decided before the legislature adjourned for the summer. |
I’ve been informed that there was a bill ( S.69 ) in the legislative session that deals with wake boats. It was sponsored by Senator John Rodgers and that it was referred to the Committee of Natural Resources and Energy.

I wasn't able to read the original bill that Sen. John Rodgers presented, but now we can keep track of where it is. Hopefully it will eventually afford some relief from what we are experiencing here at Joe's Pond. Thank you, Michael for pursuing this and bringing it to our attention.
Sen. Kitty Toll may know something about what's in the bill, but John Rodgers is familiar with Vermont's lakes and ponds and actually installed some of the waterfront retaining walls here at Joe's Pond years ago, so it's a good bet the bill is thorough. What the Natural Resources Committee will do with it is anybody's guess - but it would seem to be a step forward, even though it won't help us this year.
