These photos were taken by John Lyons (Barre Ave.) of an accident that happened on Route 2W yesterday. Nobody was at the cottage when the truck went over the bank and hit it, and the driver, 69 year old Jerry Blais of Berlin, NH was not hurt. His 2019 Ram pickup was totaled and the cottage had extensive damage, according to the report by the state police. Blais was issued a violation. It is interesting that in the police report, they established the location as being on U. S. Route 2 at the intersection of "Paradise Alley" - a name used by locals for Woodward Road. I was surprised to see that reference in the more formal report.  Someone local must have been at the scene to identify that road that way. I believe there is is a sign with Woodward Road there that is very visible.
