We are saddened this morning to learn of the death of Mike Precourt of Shelburne VT and Edgewood Avenue, Joes Pond.  Mike died on Wednesday, June 5.  Condolences to his wife, Mindy and their family may be sent to her at 189 Bayfield Drive, Shelburne VT 05482.  Many of you also knew Mindy's parents, William and Mary Porter, who owned the camp before Mike and Mindy.  Our deepest sympathy to Mike's family.

We seem to have a very nice day brewing outside.  Yesterday was one of those off-and-on days that looked more threatening than it actually turned out to be.  We went to Littleton for lunch with our friends, Elizabeth and Louise, and it was very nice all the time we were there.  As we approached West Danville, we could see the storm clouds hovering over Joe's Pond - but the storms seemed to skip us and as far as I know, we didn't get any rain.  I'll check my rain gauge a little later.

This is graduation week at granddaughter Jo-Ann's school in Waterford.  We can't believe she will be going to high school next fall.  She's excited about going to St. Johnsbury Academy, and we're excited for her.  Last night I was looking as some photos we took as she arrived from Namibia in January of 2010.  This one was at the airport - she saw snow for the first time and couldn't believe how cold everything was.  Now she's skiing and enjoying our varied seasons.  She's a good student and an awesome young lady.  We're very proud of her.
