Well, 'tis the season.  Another neighbor brought me photos of a bear that's been visiting their yard.  Apparently they haven't taken down their bird feeders yet, and the bear remembered - he's probably the same one that has visited before - and he's anxious for an easy snack.  Like the one at Richer's, he looks very healthy.

He looks kind of innocent lying at the base of the feeder, but standing up and looking right at the camera - not so much!  Thanks to the Metcalfs for these photos, but please, don't take chances in order to get nice photos of wild animals.  Shots like this are what zoom on our cameras was invented for.

I heard from Homer today - he and Margaret were here this weekend and took a pontoon boat ride around the pond.  Here's what he said:

HI -
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL WEEKEND.    ALL SUN AND NO CLOUDS.     WENT ALL AROUND THE POND YESTERDAY ON THE PONTOON BOAT.     SEVERAL CHANGES.       A  FEW OTHER BOATS OUT ALSO.
LAST NIGHT WE TOOK OUR CARETAKER, DOUG HAMILTON,   TO GOODFELLA'S FOR REAL GOOD MEALS.  WE DID SEE SEVERAL OTHER JOE'S POND COUPLES THERE.    ALWAYS NICE TO SAY " HI ".
THIS MORNING WE WENT TO PEACHAM CHURCH AND STOPPED TO SEE SCOTT AND JONI PALMER ON OUR WAY BACK.
THIS AFTERNOON WE GO BACK TO BARRE FOR A WEDDING.     PROBABLY NOT BACK HERE FOR TWO WEEKS.
LOVE AND BLESSINGS, HOMER AND MARGARET

We went to granddaughter JoAnn's dance recital yesterday afternoon.  It was lovely, and we enjoyed the whole thing.  I have lots of photos and will put together a little slide show.  It will take some time - I only took 109 photos, (that's what grandparents do, isn't it?) so it will take some time to go through and pick the highlights for a slide show.  Will try to do that tomorrow.

In the meantime, we've had another glorious day.  Unfortunately, no rain, but spring is definitely here and we are getting lots of outside work done, taking advantage of the nice weather.
