Our weather changed as predicted - we have bright sunshine but definitely colder temperatures. It's barely 32 degrees now, but was in t he low 20s last night. Everything was frosty this morning, and there are patches of snow remaining in shaded areas. There's a brisk wind out of the northwest, too, making it chillier.
We are sad to report the passing of a long-time Joe's Pond resident, George Kellogg (Birch Bound Rd.). Mr. Kellogg was 92, a native Vermonter and long-time resident in St. Johnsbury and at Joe's Pond. A complete obituary is in yesterday's Caledonian Record. Our sincerest sympathies go to his wife, Marie, and their children, Kerry, Pamela and James and their families. Condolences may be sent to the family at: 2215 Mt. Pleasant St., St. Johnsbury VT 05819.
