Work Update
Danville Route 2 Project
Project:  Danville FEGC 028-3(32)
WEEK OF 10/8/12

Village Green:

UTILITY CREWS – Crews from FairPoint and Charter will be working for the next few months to relocate their lines underground.

Route 2:

Project Update:  Crews completed the paving of Route 2 on both ends of the project.  There are still many tasks that need to be completed before crews leave for the winter. Those tasks include, line striping, paving of driveway entrances, and miscellaneous clean-up activities.  Hopefully, the weather will cooperate so we can wrap up work for the season soon!  Thank you for all of your patience!!!

In celebration of Columbus Day, crews will not be working on the project Monday, October 8, 2012.  Work will resume on Tuesday, 10/9/12.

PAVING:  Crews will be paving in driveway aprons throughout the week.  The entrance of Highland Ave is also on the schedule to be paved.

LINE STRIPING:  Tuesday through Thursday, crews will be working on line striping on the new pavement.  This work is contingent upon favorable weather conditions.

Both of these activities will require lane closures and alternating one-way traffic throughout the project.  Traffic control personnel will be present to maintain traffic flow.

New traffic signs will be installed along Route 2 throughout the week.

This message came to me today:

Water Tower Farm in Marshfield is hosting its 5th annual Fall Festival with the Vt National Guard Family Readiness program to honor all the families of Vermont's military. It is open to the public, FREE, and is 10-2 on Saturday, Oct 13th.

Click on the poster to make it large enough to read. This is a great way to say "Thank you!" to the men and women in the military - and to let them know we appreciate the sacrifices their families make, as well.  It sounds like it will be a fun day - we'll hope for great weather!
