I received a message from Helen Morrison this morning about a young black and white "tuxedo" cat she spotted last night in the vicinity of the tennis court at Ned and Carolyn Hamilton's on West Shore Road. She thinks it may be a stray, and will try to capture it and take it to KIngdom Animal Shelter in St. Johnsbury. So, if you know this kitty and know it has a home, please let me know. (My phone is 563-2381). It's going to get pretty cold this weekend - too cold for a domestic cat to be outside. We hope this young cat was just exploring, as cats do, and is not in trouble.
Helen sent me this poster - she volunteers at the shelter and said they could really use more volunteers. They are a "no kill" facility, and as we all know, there's a great need to help animals that have been abandoned or whose owners feel they can no longer keep them.
