There is more information on both sides of the question of allowing ATVs on Cabot's roads. There are comments on www.frontporchforum.com
You will need to sign in to read them as it is limited to Walden and Hardwick areas, which includes Cabot. Also, I received a link to Peaceful Roads and Trails in Vermont which you may find interesting.
I was saddened to learn that Gerald Castner (Birch Bound Road) passed away on July 21st, 2011. I only learned about it this week, from Irma, his wife. Here is the obituary. I was sorry that I didn't know at the time - we try to keep current on these things, but that isn't always possible. I'm sure Irma and family would appreciate any communications from friends here who may not have been aware of Gerald's death. Her address is: Irma Castner, P. O. Box 13, Stillwater, NJ 07875. Irma said she has a new granddaughter, Jillian Marie, born Aug. 17, 2011, and her oldest granddaughter is getting married this weekend, on July 21st. She said the family gets to the pond whenever possible. This has certainly been one of the best summers in a while to be at Joe's Pond.
