I received this report on the water quality at the beach in West Danville from Mert Leonard:
Beach water tested 17 for e coli last week June 5th and less than 1 for
this week June 12th.
The State of Vermont has recently adjusted their recreational swimming water recommendation re. E.coli bacteria to 235 E.coli cfu/100 ml of water. This matches the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency's 2011 guidelines. You will find more information at www.healthvermont.gov, or call the Vermont Department of Health at 1-800-439-8550.
