Cabot Historical Society
Main Street Building
Open Sat., June 9, 2012
1 - 3 P.M.

There are displays that include relics from Gen. Hazen's camp during Revolutionary War days and the Smuggler's House on Cabot Plain. You'll find exhibits of old tools, furnishings, and early doctors' medicine kits and tools (see photo); and you'll glimpse what life was like in the early days when Cabot was first settled.
There are books by local authors for sale, including the oral history of Cabot published in 1999, "Cabot, Vermont - A Collection of Memories From the Century Past," and "The Blodgett Papers;" a combined history of Cabot and genealogy of the Blodgett family by the late Rev. Fred Blodgett; a book of poetry by the Cabot Poetry Society; David Book's new book about Cabot's Civil War soldiers; and David and Marilyn Perrin's book, "A Vermont Friendship Quilt Goes West in 1856; and others.
Museum staff will be on hand to assist with research and answer questions. Bring the family.
